A panic disorder is marked by unpredictable episodes of intense dread in which a person experiences terror and accompanying chest pain, choking, or other frightening sensations. The symptoms are sudden episodes of intense dread, rapid heart beat, shortness of breath, choking sensations, trembling, and dizziness. It is caused by genetics or by a malfunction of the fight-or-flight response. Schizophrenia is a group of severe disorders characterized by delusional thinking, disturbed perception, and inappropriate emotions and behaviors.
